Intro
An ambitious destination
Travelling means choosing a destination, discovering new horizons, facing new challenges. But travelling is also sharing. When we travel as a group we grow together, in a process of mutual stimulation that allows us to improve constantly.
In a similar way, for Gruppo Mastrotto, the commitment towards a more sustainable future is a journey that we have wanted to share with our partners right from the start: customers, suppliers, associates, rethinking our business model, relations with the market and our relationship with the territory.
Passport
To travel, you need a document
The passport is a travel, identity and recognition document. It reveals the places we have visited and gives others an insight into our experience.
This is how we imagined our Sustainability Passport: a certificate to prove our commitment to sustainability, the projects we have launched and the results we have achieved.
Because only by sharing the stages of the journey can we reach new destinations that can really make a difference for all of us and for generations to come.

Gruppo Mastrotto's governance is based on principles of transparency and integrity, strongly emphasising the ethical responsibility of business practices.
This is reflected in strict compliance with international regulations and in the rigorous control that guides the activities of every business department, ensuring that the entire value chain meets the highest ethical and quality standards.
The challenges of the future
Traceability, animal welfare and reduced emissions
The ecological and energy sustainability targets that have been set at global level are ambitious, but necessary if we are to preserve the planet for future generations.
These targets generate challenges for the future, most notably traceability, animal welfare and reduced emissions.
01.
Traceability
We use advanced systems to trace the origin of hides. This includes traceability back to the slaughterhouse and, in some cases, even to the cattle farm of origin, ensuring transparency and compliance with the highest ethical standards and ensuring that the hides do not come from areas where illegal deforestation occurs.
02.
Animal welfare
We are committed to purchasing hides exclusively from suppliers who guarantee respect for animal welfare, observing breeding and slaughtering practices that meet international ethical and environmental standards.
03.
Reduced emissions
We have achieved 100% certified renewable electricity sourcing for our Italian facilities and carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions on our Express delivery service. We have also completed the calculation of our organisation's carbon footprint and are currently working on a plan to reduce emissions consistent with the Paris Agreement.
