Mastrotto Group Offers Female Employees Free Breast Cancer Screening

The well-being of employees continues to be one of the core values of our Group: the latest initiative is an invitation to all our female employees to undergo free breast cancer screening, one of the most formidable and frequent types of cancer, diagnosed in approximately 50,000 women in Italy each year. As is often the case, prevention is the most effective measure to win the battle, as the likelihood of recovery is directly linked to the early detection of the disease.

On November 21 and 22, and in a second session in March 2024, the more than three hundred female employees of Arzignano and Chiampo will be able to have a mammogram and an ultrasound directly within the company premises, where a mobile clinic equipped with state-of-the-art tools will be set up, including a digital mammography machine, a portable ultrasound machine, a reporting workstation, and the necessary teleradiology instruments.

Those who have already had a mammogram in the twelve months preceding the appointment can still take advantage of the free ultrasound, which complements the exam and makes prevention more effective. The reports of the visits will, of course, remain confidential and exclusively available to our employees.

The initiative was organized with the support and facilities of WelfareCare – Società Benefit, which promotes the prevention of female cancers nationwide with the support of companies and entrepreneurs sensitive to the issue.

The free breast cancer prevention exams are part of the welfare plans designed by our Group for employee well-being, an integral part of the People, Next Level project. A plan that offers numerous benefits such as shopping vouchers, a company canteen, support for education and medical expenses, contributions for childcare and eldercare assistance, and flexible work options to facilitate a better balance with family responsibilities.
