Gruppo Mastrotto offers its employees free screening examinations for the prevention of breast cancer

In November 2023 and March 2024, a mobile clinic equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools will offer employees preventive care directly at their workplace. This new initiative is part of our Group’s increasingly articulate welfare system which aims to increasingly improve the quality of life of employees and their relationship with the company

Employee wellbeing continues to be one of our Group’s core values: this latest initiative is an invitation to all our employees to undergo free examinations for the prevention of breast cancer, one of the most dreaded and frequent types of cancer, diagnosed in about 50 thousand women in Italy every year. As is often the case, prevention is the most effective measure for winning the battle, because the likelihood of being cured is directly correlated to early diagnosis.

On 21 and 22 November 2023 and, in a second session, in March 2024, more than three hundred female workers at the Arzignano and Chiampo sites will be able to have a mammogram and an ultrasound scan directly on company premises, where a mobile clinic equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, including a digital mammography machine, a portable ultrasound machine, a reporting workstation and the necessary teleradiology tools, will be set up.

Those who have already had a mammogram in the twelve months preceding the appointment will still be able to take advantage of the free ultrasound scan, which completes the examination and makes prevention more effective. The results of the examinations will be communicated exclusively to our employees concerned.

The initiative is organised with the support and facilities of WelfareCare – Società Benefit, which promotes the prevention of female cancer throughout the country thanks to the cooperation of companies and entrepreneurs sensitive to the issue.

Free examinations for the prevention of breast cancer are part of the welfare plans devised by our Group for the wellbeing of its employees as an integral part of the People, Next Level project. A plan that offers numerous benefits such as vouchers, a company canteen, support for education and medical expenses, contributions to care for children and the elderly, and flexible working options to make it easier to accommodate family responsibilities.

This project further enriches our welfare programme” – says Chiara Mastrotto “which is part of a broader vision that we have been pursuing for several years now. The ultimate goal is to achieve corporate sustainability that is not only environmental and economic, but also social. We believe that companies can and should do a lot to create the conditions for a better world for their employees and their children. This initiative, dedicated in this case to women, is a further step in this direction”.
