We will be among the speakers at the first Italian edition of “Forces of Fashion”, the event with which Vogue tells the story of fashion and its and its key players, which will be held in Rome on the 21^st of October

This is traditionally the most important event of the year for Vogue: a conference on the state of the art of the fashion world, aimed at giving the entire supply chain a voice. “Forces of Fashion” is a day featuring the major players in the sector and, this year, for the first time, it will be held in Rome, on the 21^st of October, at the former Slaughterhouse in the Testaccio district.

Two pavilions will host the event organised by Vogue Italia: the first will host workshops and experiential spaces, while the other will host talks in which leading figures from the worlds of fashion, costume and cinema will take the stage, presenting their visions to the public, inspiring a multi-generational audience and continuing to play a key role in the cultural promotion of fashion.

Guests include actress, model and director Isabella Rossellini; Paola Malanga, Artistic Director of the Fondazione Cinema per Roma; Sabato De Sarno, Artistic Director of Gucci; Pierpaolo Piccioli, Artistic Director of Valentino; Journalist, Writer, Theatrical Writer and Radio/TV Presenter Concita De Gregorio; Silvia Venturini Fendi, Artistic Director of Fendi’s Accessories and Men’s Collections; Maria Grazia Chiuri, Artistic Director of Dior’s Haute Couture, Ready-to-Wear and Accessories Women’s Collections.

In the pavilion reserved for workshops, Chiara Mastrotto, President and CEO of our Group, will give a speech entitled “Changing skin: the rediscovery of a circular material” focused on sustainability issues in the tanning sector. Talking about fashion in 2023 necessarily means dealing with issues such as the sustainable supply chain and innovation of production processes. To do so, with over 65 years of experience as an international benchmark in the processing of bovine hides, our Gruppo will address the theme of the importance of leather in the fashion industry, with particular reference to the value of a material that represents one of the oldest examples of circular economy. Chiara Mastrotto will be talking to eco-entrepreneur Eva Geraldine Fontanelli, with moderation by Giulia di Giamberardino, Fashion Contributor of Vogue Italia.
