In today's industrial context, technological innovation is crucial to maintaining a competitive edge and sustainable production operations.
Being aware of these dynamics, we invested wholeheartedly in the Industry 4.0 plan, adopting state-of-the-art machinery and modernising production infrastructures to keep up with developments in the tanning sector.
This commitment is reflected not only by the continuous improvement of processes but also in the adoption of solutions that guarantee reduced environmental impact and greater energy efficiency.

A significant chunk of this investment has been dedicated to modernising our production lines with the latest technology available. Some of the most emblematic examples of this modernisation include the new vacuum dryers, which operate at reduced temperatures allowing significant energy savings.
We also implemented state-of-the-art spray booths that enhance productivity and have the advantage of limiting the use of chemicals, reducing operations' environmental impact.

- A state-of-the-art production site
In 2019, we inaugurated a new production facility in Santa Croce sull'Arno, an area strategically located near the headquarters of Italian luxury brands. This facility occupies a covered area of approximately 12,000 square metres, is equipped with state-of-the-art production machinery and features a considerable degree of automation.
The power used to run the plant is supplied by a sophisticated photovoltaic system that helps minimise the carbon footprint.

- Automation and artificial intelligence
Today, our focus is on automating processes and minimising manual intervention in the handling of the leathers. This effort aims to reduce tasks that are physically demanding for our staff, improving working conditions and operational efficiency.
Looking to the future, we are exploring the incorporation of artificial intelligence into our processes, such as automated hide sorting, to ensure consistently high quality standards and uniformity in our finished products.
