Gruppo Mastrotto redesigns leather between art, luxury and innovation

For Lineapelle Milan, the sector's most important international trade fair, our Group appears with the ambitious goal of symbolically “redesigning” the relationship between art, luxury and innovation.

With this in mind, our company has chosen to present the new work from the OUT OF STOCK series by artist Paolo Gonzato, represented by the contemporary art gallery APALAZZOGALLERY. Conceived to surprise and inspire, the artist's installation goes beyond the limits of the traditional exhibition setting, merging art and tanning.

Our art project stems from the desire to support, develop and promote contemporary culture through the creative talent of emerging young Italian and international artists, and will be implemented through a series of works that reflect the passion for leather and the generational history of our company. With this collaboration, we are promoting an interplay between art and tanning, incorporating a disruptive work into our trade fair presence that will not fail to amaze visitors.

In OUT OF STOCK (2024), Gonzato distributes a geometric pattern of nappa leather rhombuses, creating a “tapestry” of dreamlike colours. The reference to 20th century Milanese architecture merges with the use of a natural element like leather. The work was revealed to the public on the first day of the exhibition, in a ceremony held in the presence of the author and our President Chiara Mastrotto.

A new exhibition booth inspired by fashion boutiques, with a strong digital imprint

Our booth (located in HALL 13 in spaces R19-29/S20-30) has been completely redesigned compared to past editions, inspired by high-fashion boutiques. The setting is characterised by clean, elegant lines, custom-made furnishings and lighting designed to enhance the natural beauty of the leathers on display.

The structure is surrounded by an immersive video installation designed to offer visitors a unique multi-sensory experience, with large high-definition LED walls enveloping the space, creating a dynamic and engaging environment that captures the attention.

The FW25/26 collection: an embrace of sophisticated protection

With its warm tones, which evoke the atmospheres of the new season, the new FW25/26 collection designed by our Group seeks to be an invitation to slow down, reflect and cherish the moment in an increasingly frenetic and elusive world. The range also wishes to evoke a sense of warmth and protection, drawing inspiration from natural landscapes and autumnal settings that are directly reflected in the shades of leather.

The collection comprises four shades:

  • Cocoon: an elegant, delicate and enveloping shade of beige;
  • Gianduia: a rich, full brown, inspired by the famous Italian chocolate;
  • Cherish: a striking, bold and deep red;
  • Lunar: an ethereal grey, reminiscent of the surface of the moon.

Leather without boundaries: from calfskins for haute couture to creations for stylists and designers

The proposal presented on the stand includes an exclusive selection of new calfskin articles for the luxury sector. Visitors will be able to appreciate a range of sophisticated textures and finishes designed to meet the needs of the most prestigious brands of footwear, leather goods and high-end accessories. Leathers that complete a range dedicated to the world of fashion, filled with innovative and elegant solutions designed to inspire stylists and designers in their creations.

A specific exhibition area is also dedicated to a selection of leathers for the clothing and interior design sectors. An area that highlights the versatility of our leathers and the scope of the worlds they address.

Journeying towards a Leather Forward future

Participation in Lineapelle represents an important milestone for our new brand identity, recently renewed with the Leather Forward’ payoff that summarises its contents. The concept expresses the vision of a future oriented towards innovation and sustainability, focusing on the passion for leather and attention to environmental and social issues. These aspects are highlighted in detail in the Sustainability Report 2023, the fourth in our history, published last July.

The restyling of the logo and website reflects the evolution of our Group towards a leadership position in the premium and luxury sectors, displaying a combination of tradition and modernity that enhances the quality of our production.

In this journey of renewal, the new Lineapelle exhibition booth represents the tangible concretisation of our new corporate vision, offering visitors an immersive experience in the ‘Leather Forward’ world.
