Gruppo Mastrotto receives the award for „Best Leather Supplier“ from Coach

America’s largest leather accessories group has recognized Gruppo Mastrotto as the best global leather supplier. This result recognizes an excellent product and managerial know-how which makes Gruppo Mastrotto the ideal partner for companies operating in international markets.

Achieving such recognition would make any entrepreneur very proud and, once again, raises the „Made in Italy“ flag to an international level: Coach, the principal American leather accessory group, recently conferred the award for „Best Leather Supplier“ upon Gruppo Mastrotto at the Supply Chain Leadership meeting held at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Danang (Vietnam). The meeting involved 36 worldwide suppliers of the American company and Gruppo Mastrotto was the winner among the 13 tanneries in attendance.

To possess the logistical and managerial know-how to satisfy the needs of a customer with a complex production network made up of several factories around the world and to always ensure the highest supply quality is no easy thing. The award as „Best Leather Supplier“ therefore confirms the research and development work that Gruppo Mastrotto has been undertaking for almost 60 years which has enabled it to remain constantly abreast of new trends and new technologies.

Coach is one of the key worldwide leaders in the field of leather accessories and in recent years it has undergone explosive growth, registering an upward trend both on the market and on the stock exchange. Founded in 1941, the American brand now has more than 17,000 employees and over 1,000 Coach Stores worldwide. In 2015, 59% of the total Coach sales were made in North America and approximately 39% in 45 other countries.

For several years Coach has been awarding its suppliers after passing an internal performance analysis designed to measure efficiency both in terms of quality and service.
